BayWATCHing was a performance using acoustics and visuals to connect the open space of the Lentos on the Linzer Ufer with the opposite side of the river (more precisely, the salon ship Miss Florentine on the Urfahraner Ufer). A collection of various texts on climate, social and urban change will be broadcast live and simultaneously at both places recited by the performers. Let the future inspire you with discourses and enjoy them with a delicious cocktail. At the same time, the visitors, who are listening to the speech acts, with binoculars from a "bay", a "critical" view of what is happening on the other side; the possibility of being hit even by the critical glances of the opposite side. The view in the form of "being looked at" (Jean-Paul Sartre) is thus made productive for a performative act in order to be able to open one of these "social spaces". And so the performers experiment in their performance of how to produce "effect," "change," and "action".
